Is there a place for entrepreneurship in government? In 2014, San Francisco launched the Startup in Residence (STIR) program which embeds entrepreneurs directly into city departments for 16-weeks; instead of vendors pitching solutions to cities, cities pitch challenges to entrepreneurs while providing a platform for product co-development and mentorship.  

What have we learned, where are we going, and how can similar approaches be taken in cities worldwide?  This program will feature participants from the Startup in Residence 2016 cohort including:
