Drawing on the experience and expertise of IHS experts across the globe, Elizabeth Redman Cleveland leads IHS’ corporate‐wide initiative to help customers make sustainable decisions that take into account long‐term social, environmental, and economic objectives. Utilizing her stakeholder engagement, project management, facilitation, research and strategy development skills, Elizabeth helps clients to leverage IHS insight and analysis to inform their sustainability strategies, challenge critical business decisions by taking into account relevant social and environmental risks, and calculate and communicate the economic and social impacts of their operations and investments. In addition, Elizabeth leads the IHS Economics and Country Risk team’s Economic Strategy Solutions and Social Impact Analysis practices. In this role, she helps clients to design policies and programs to strengthen regional industry competitiveness, identify sources of competitive advantage and understand the ways public and private investment contribute to regional social and economic development goals. Before joining IHS, Elizabeth ran her own consulting company, Cross Sector Strategies, to create sustainable solutions for economic growth through multi‐sector partnerships within the clean energy and energy efficiency industries; worked as a Senior Associate at the Economic Competitiveness Group where she helped regions and industries design and implement cluster development strategies; and advised a number of regional business associations, industry groups, non‐profit organizations and academic institutions on economic and workforce development topics. Over the past decade, Elizabeth has worked with a broad range of industries, from those with advanced manufacturing operations in the technology, chemicals and medical devices sectors, to natural resource‐based sectors like tourism and forest products, to a range of clean technology industries including renewable energy, green building, recycling, and energy efficiency. Having worked on projects in multiple US states, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, Elizabeth understands the importance of integrating well‐crafted quantitative analysis with the perspective, leadership, and support of local stakeholders.
